B2B Agency Backoffice

Project Goal

To quickly enter the B2B market, we designed and delivered a fast and functional hotel booking interface that travel agencies can easily use.

Problems We Wanted to Solve

Existing booking systems were often complex and time-consuming for travel agencies. Additionally, current agency interfaces were outdated and not user-friendly, making the booking process harder and slower. This reduced efficiency, especially when agencies needed to act quickly. Also, managing information from different suppliers and hotels on a single platform was challenging.
With the new interface, we aimed to:

  • Simplify and speed up the booking process,

  • Provide a user-friendly and intuitive experience,

  • Allow agencies to easily filter and compare different hotel options,

  • Reduce errors in business processes.

Research Process

I conducted interviews with internal team members who work directly with travel agencies. Through these discussions, I was able to indirectly understand the challenges agencies face in the field and gather stakeholder expectations. Agencies were mainly looking for solutions to easily track their sales and receive payments smoothly. In addition, I analyzed similar products in the market to identify their strengths and weaknesses. This comprehensive research helped us develop user-focused and functional design solutions.

Solution Design

The company's key value for agencies was offering a wide range of hotel options with competitive pricing. In the design, I focused on keeping product details and information cards clean and easy to understand so users could access important information quickly. Working closely with the product team, we defined the MVP scope and prioritized building the Dashboard, Bookings, and Payment flow. This allowed us to move fast and stay focused.

Prototype and Testing

I turned the screen designs into interactive prototypes and shared them with the product team. During internal design meetings, I presented the progress and asked the team to try the prototypes. Based on their feedback and suggestions, I made several improvements to the flows and UI components. We focused heavily on simplification and speed in the final design.

Results and Learnings

At the end of the process, we delivered a fast, user-friendly hotel booking interface that matched agency needs. Through close collaboration with the product team and an iterative approach, the MVP was completed on time. Stakeholder feedback throughout the project helped us identify critical focus areas. Key takeaways included the importance of early prototyping and continuous communication with stakeholders. In the future, modules like payment methods and booking tracking will be expanded further.
